Forward Cabin Almost Done!

I've been working on the forward cabin for a long time now and I think I have finally come to the end of this part of the build. I have everything done up there except for one more hatch to trim out. You can go to the pictures of my construction and scroll down to the last photo and see what my forward cabin looks like now. Next comes the galley.

  1. I can't figure out how to communicate with you Skipper. Anyway maybe this will get to you. A suggestion about how to deal with the too big hole in your counter top. I am not a boat builder (would like to be) but I am a wood worker.

Assuming your sink top extends beyond the edge of the too big hole by a inch all the way around I would cut pieces of wood wide enough so your clamps will engage all the way around. I would epoxy or glue them to all four inside edges with TiteBond III, add a few screws and paint with whatever you use to assure waterproof surface.

I make a lot of mistakes so I have become very good at correcting them.

I tried to communicate using your blog. I can send a note to other members but I can't figure out to send one to you.

Can you send me your email address? I am headed to Florida at the end of February and would love to see the Molly B. I have been following your progress carefully since about 2002. Jerry Jehle pjjehle@chartermi.net
